Palm pre forum

The GSM version of the Palm Pre, using 3G HSPA rather than CDMA EV-DO Rev.A, may be scheduled for launch at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, if a recently discovered - and since pulled - website is to be believed. The url, palmmwc2009.com, led to a password-protected site; it was registered by Canadian PR agency Mischief Media, who have worked with Palm Canada.
Although nobody was able to access the password-protected site - and it has since been taken down - the presumption is that it signifies an important announcement by Palm at the European show in February. We’ll be attending Mobile World Congress, and you can bet we’ll be asking Palm as many questions as we can about the GSM version of the Pre (and as much extra as we can discover about the CDMA handset too, of course). You’ll be able to follow all of our coverage over at SlashGear using the MWC 2009 tag, though we’ll be flagging up anything Palm Pre related here at Pre Community too.
